There are numerous golf courses on the Costa del Sol but the Miraflores Golf Club is right in the heart of Riviera del Sol. The nearby area of Calahonda and Cabopino boast a golfcourse.
The fees listed below are current at April 2003 and are subject to change, but still give an indication as to the cost.
Situated in the mountainous area of Mijas, this course has expansive views across the sea. There are a number of tricky water hazards to avoid.

The Miraflores Driving Range is situated away from the main club house and buildings. Infact it is located at the top of the Avenida del Golf, where you take a left onto the Avenida Esmerelda. You then cannot miss it on the left-hand side of the road. It is sign posted.

Description
Situated 12 km from Marbella, this is very modern eighteen hole golf course - par 71. It has spectacular views of the sea and the Costa del Sol.

The course is situated opposite the marina after which it is named. The round is 5,170 metres long and has a par of 71. It was designed by the Madrid architect Juan Ligués and has spectacular views of the sea and the beautiful natural surroundings, including a large number of magnificent spreading pine trees. The course consists of three par-3’s, two par-5’s, and thirteen par-4’s. The longest hole is the 14th, a 456 metre par-5, and the shortest is the 13th, a par-3 which is 134 metres from the yellow tee. It is a course where those with a high handicap will enjoy using all of the clubs in their bag and lower handicaps will have to take a risk on every shot if their want to get round with a good score.
Among the most spectacular holes is the 3rd, a par-4 with a raised tee and a green surrounded by bunkers and about 200 metres above sea level. The holes with lakes - the 13th, 14th and 15th – are especially beautiful. The club is an authorised official centre for making made-to-measure clubs of the Titleist and Cobra brands.

Description
This course is close to the residential area of Calahonda. It is a fairly short course, but the levels vary substantially from tee to green.

The distance from the tees to the green varies considerably, and although it is a short course, ideal for short play, you have the sensation that you are playing on a much bigger ground. The course is not too difficult. You can use a wood to reach the green of the 7th. There are wonderful views of the Mediterranean Sea from the 9th hole.

THE AZTEC COUNTRY CLUB
The Aztec Centre is in the heart of Riviera del Sol which is a sporting complex with very good facilities. Olympic sized swimming pool, 7 tennis courts, badminton courts, mini golf and a gymnasium, not to mention the beauty salon / hairdressers, pysiotherapist and the proposed dance studio. It is open to non residents and provides not only excellent reasonable priced food, but evening entertainment for all ages. A newly constructed and state of the art Internet centre and games room caters for all ages. The atmosphere is very relaxing and to sit on the balcony enjoying the evening sun and just people watching, is in itself, a joy. As important the people that run it are not only friendly but a real source of information. Trips, golf rounds etc can be booked from here and for a small fee one can use the clubs facilities.
The Aztec centre is open to non residents and provides not only excellent reasonable priced food, but evening entertainment for all ages. A newly constructed and state of the Ark Internet centre and games room caters for all ages. The atmosphere is very relaxing and to sit on the balcony enjoying the evening sun and just people watching, is in itself, a joy.

THE CLUB DEL SOL
The Club del Sol has 12 excellent tennis courts comprising 7 brand new clay courts and 5 plexi-cushion courts.
The quality of the plexi-cushion courts is identical to those which will be used at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004.
Seven brand new clay courts are open 7 days a week from 09.00 in until 21.30 hours.
Prices include the use of showers, lockers, sauna and VAT.
A bottle of water (33 cl.) is provided for each player free of charge every time a court is booked.
1 hour of tennis (maximum 4 persons per court 17 euros.
Five high qualitycushion tennis courts. The quality of these courts is exactly the same as the courts which will be used at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004.The rate includes VAT, the use of showers, lockers and sauna. 1 hour of tennis (Maximum 4 persons per court) 17 euros
The Club del Sol has four brand new squash courts, is open 7 days a week and you can play squash from 9.00 in the morning until 21.30 hours.

1 hour of squash (maximum of 4 persons per court) is 12 euros.

MIRAFLORES BOWLS CLUB
The Miraflores Bowls Club provides two all weather greens and due to the climate of the Costa del Sol, members and guests are able to play all year round. All guests are welcome, either have a game of bowls or enjoy a snack or drink at the bar whilst leisurely watching a game.
